Where to Enjoy the Best Pancakes in Mobile, AL

There's nothing better than starting your day with a fluffy stack of pancakes covered with warm maple syrup. If that sounds good, here are a few restaurants near our University of South Alabama housing that serve this morning favorite:

Bob's Downtown Restaurant

Step into Bob's Downtown Restaurant, "where good American cooking is made from scratch daily." Executive Chef Tony Sawyer has been on a culinary journey for more than 30 years. There are no limits on what he can cook,  and you never know what he will create next. For breakfast, try two buttermilk pancakes with two eggs and alligator sausage. Round out your meal with orange juice or a cup of coffee.

Ruby Slipper Cafe

The Ruby Slipper Cafe brings a taste of New Orleans to Mobile. The restaurant offers a fun, vibrant setting, and to save time, you can join the waitlist before leaving home. Don't miss the white chocolate bread pudding pancakes. A customer favorite, they feature a cinnamon sugar and white chocolate bread pudding filling and are topped with white chocolate whiskey sauce.

Brick & Spoon

A fun, casual eatery, Brick & Spoon welcomes hungry diners for breakfast, brunch, and lunch. The chefs use the finest ingredients, and with hearty portions, you'll want to arrive hungry. For breakfast, order the OMG pancakes. You will enjoy two pancakes covered with powdered sugar and a side of bacon. The restaurant is open daily between 7:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m.

After enjoying a stack of pancakes, explore the best museums in Mobile. You'll see unique works of art, discover the region's storied history, and so much more.
