When Chris and Laney Andrews decided to share their passion for history and food, Bienville Bites was born. Today, it's the best food tour in Alabama. There's something delicious for everyone, and you'll also discover exciting facts about Mobile's culinary scene. Here are a few of the tours you can enjoy near our University of South Alabama housing:

LoDa Stroll 

As the signature tour, LoDa Stroll offers a mouthwatering adventure through the Lower Dauphin Street Historic District. The guides will share stories that bring the area to life as you sample Gulf Coast staples and other treats that awaken your tastebuds. Stops include Moe's Original Bar B Que, Wintzell's Oyster House, and The Ruby Slipper Cafe. Public tours are held on Friday and Saturday afternoons. Private tours can also be scheduled.

Old Mobile Evening 

Plan a Thursday out with friends and enjoy the Old Mobile Evening tour. You'll explore the city's food history going back centuries. Each stop provides a unique experience and offers everything from pub fare to fine dining. Eateries include Five, La Floriditas, and The Cheese Cottage. The tour takes place rain or shine, and tickets must be purchased at least four hours in advance. 

Maids for Mobile 

A unique tour, Maids for Mobile provides great food, an interview expert, and a fun look at the city's food history. Local interview expert, Wendy Lipham, joins in on the fun to offer interview tips and ways to build confidence so you ace your next interview. Stops include the A&M Peanut Shop, Dauphin's, and the Mo'Bay Beignet Co.
