Don't Miss Mobile's Monthly Art Walk

Mobile's Art Walk is a free monthly event showcasing the local visual, performing, and culinary arts community. It's held on the second Friday of every month and welcomes hundreds of visitors who come to enjoy a delicious meal and shop for unique works of art. The fun takes place near our University of South Alabama housing, and there is always something new to discover. Participating vendors include:

Muffinjaw Designs

When Muffinjaw Designs opened, it became the first non-academic glassblowing studio in Mobile. The artists are known for their bold colors and crisp lines. They produce items for the home and garden and boast that they "make each piece by hand with you in mind."

Coastal Makers

Kari Ransom loves to dabble in different art forms. She doesn't mind getting her hands dirty, and you never know what she'll create next. Kari opened Coastal Makers to share her passion for art with others. She offers an array of classes and enjoys helping everyone discover their inner artist. Stop by to see what the studio is offering during the Art Walk.

Birdie & Cricket

At Birdie & Cricket, the mission is to make headwear a statement. The shop opened after Casey decided to take a break from her IT job. She named it after her cats and created headbands that will enhance your favorite outfits for work or play.

unleASHed Art

A chef turned artist, Allie Henderson works in watercolor and mixed media. She became passionate about art at a young age, and it stayed with her as she worked in the restaurant industry. Today, Allie sells her work during the Art Walk. It's full of color and is sure to add a conversation piece to your home.

For another way to have fun, explore the Mobile Botanical Garden. It features the largest collection of plants on the Gulf Coast, and always has something colorful in bloom. If you would like to call Traditions at South home, please contact us. We will gladly schedule a tour where you can see our student housing in Mobile, AL, firsthand.
